Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm

We are recruiting for an enthusiastic and proactive Youth Coordinator to support the delivery of programmes designed to help young people access education, training, employment and work experience opportunities.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with young people, employers, training providers, schools and community organisations to improve pathways into positive destinations and help shape innovative youth engagement programmes.Key Responsibilities
- Map and maintain information on local and regional opportunities available to young people aged 14–29
- Engage directly with young people to understand their needs and support them into education, training and employment opportunities
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with schools, training providers, employers, community organisations and public sector partners
- Promote youth programmes including apprenticeships, internships, work placements and training pathways
- Coordinate outreach, engagement and promotional activities across a range of stakeholders
- Develop relationships with employers to create work experience and paid placement opportunities
- Monitor participant progress and programme outcomes, producing reports and case studies
- Support the development and continuous improvement of youth-focused projects and initiatives
- Contribute to marketing and communication plans to raise awareness of available opportunities
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with data protection requirements
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience working with young people, employability, skills, education, training or community programmes
- Experience working in partnership with multiple stakeholders and organisations
- Strong relationship-building and networking skills
- Excellent communication, presentation and engagement abilities
- Experience coordinating projects, programmes or community initiatives
- Good analytical and reporting skills with the ability to monitor outcomes and performance
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience producing reports, updates and action plans
- A positive, proactive and solution-focused approach
Desirable Experience
- Experience within local government, education, employability, economic development, housing, DWP or voluntary sector programmes
- Knowledge of apprenticeships, employability programmes and youth engagement initiatives
- Experience organising events, outreach activities and employer engagement programmes
