Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumber to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in plumbing tasks, ensuring the installation, maintenance, and repair of various plumbing systems. This role requires a hands-on approach, utilising both hand tools and power tools to complete tasks efficiently. The Plumber will work in a secure institution and will therefore need to clear security checks before starting work.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures.
- Assemble and install pipes, fittings, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
- Conduct inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues or areas for improvement.
- Perform welding tasks as necessary for pipe repairs or installations.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters, to ensure seamless project completion.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Adhere to safety regulations and building codes throughout all tasks.
- Respond promptly to emergency plumbing calls as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Plumber or in a similar role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot plumbing issues effectively.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Basic maths skills for measuring and calculating material requirements.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary.
- Familiarity with welding techniques is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
