Quantity Surveyor
Location: North Worcestershire
Pay Rate: £33.43 per hour
Contract Type: Temporary 6 months initially
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join a Housing Property Services team on a temporary basis.
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive professional to play a key role in the development of contract documentation, procurement of goods and services, and the financial management of housing property contracts. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the preparation of contract documentation, procurement activities, and the financial measurement and valuation of works. You will prepare interim payments, final accounts, and project-related financial reports while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.Key Responsibilities
- Prepare contract documentation including Tenders, Bills of Quantities, Work Schedules, Specifications, and Schedules of Rates.
- Procure goods, services, and works contracts, including tender evaluation and reporting outcomes.
- Carry out site measurements and valuations of works, preparing payment notifications and supporting documentation.
- Prepare and agree costs for variations and non-standard works.
- Analyse and agree claims and final accounts.
- Produce accurate financial and project reports.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of standard methods of measurement and forms of contract.
- Assess, collate, and present leaseholder contributions and service charges.
- Support preparation of statutory, regulatory, and external funding returns.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience within the construction industry, covering both pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying duties.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying.
- Strong knowledge of building contracts and contract administration.
- Experience managing budgets including revenue, capital, and external funding streams.
- Knowledge of UK Health & Safety regulations, including CDM.
