We are looking for a knowledgeable and dedicated SENDIASS Officer to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), ensuring they receive appropriate support to achieve positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, schools, and partner agencies
- Undertake assessments and support statutory SEND processes
- Provide impartial advice, guidance, and advocacy to families and stakeholders
- Support home-school liaison and deliver interventions to improve outcomes
- Facilitate and attend meetings, including mediation and tribunal processes
- Maintain accurate case records and manage a varied caseload
- Work collaboratively with services to ensure appropriate SEND provision
- Promote the welfare and inclusion of children and young people at all times
Requirements
- NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field
- Minimum of 4 GCSEs (A–C) or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, EHCP processes, and tribunal procedures
- Experience working with children, young people, and families
- Excellent communication, organisation, and advocacy skills
