Our client is seeking a passionate and dedicated Participation Officer to support and develop the Children in Care Council (CiCC). This role is crucial in championing youth participation, promoting inclusivity, and ensuring young people have a voice in shaping services that affect them.Key Responsibilities
✔ Promote and develop the participation of children and young people within the Children in Care Council (CiCC).
✔ Coordinate meetings, activities, workshops, and training to engage young people.
✔ Encourage and support Looked After Children and Care Leavers in having their voices heard.
✔ Work collaboratively with schools, agencies, and partner organizations to provide young people with access to learning, advice, and development opportunities.
✔ Plan and manage activities throughout the year, ensuring resources are effectively allocated.
✔ Support and attend events celebrating young people’s achievements.
✔ Ensure safeguarding standards are met in all engagement activities.
✔ Work flexibly, including some evening and weekend work when required.Person Specification
🔹 Experience working with children and young people across different age groups.
🔹 Ability to engage, support, and empower young people to express their views.
🔹 Strong organizational and coordination skills.
🔹 Understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
