About the Role:
Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Multi-Trade Operatives to join their team. As a Multi-Trade Operative, you will be responsible for identifying and undertaking maintenance work within social housing dwellings, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard and within specified timescales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance Work:
- Undertake fault finding and diagnostic work, carrying out inspections and testing on existing installations
- Conduct maintenance work in accordance with the required specification, current legislation, British Standards, Codes of Practice, safe systems of work, and recognised industrial standards
- Productivity and Targets:
- Ensure levels of productivity working within timescales and to targets
- Manage workload effectively to meet deadlines and achieve targets
- Company Procedures:
- Ensure that company procedures are followed at all times
- Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures
- Customer Service:
- Deal courteously and efficiently with clients, customers, and the general public to maintain and enhance the reputation of Kier
- Provide excellent customer service, resolving issues and answering queries in a timely and professional manner
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Trade Skills:
- Excellent skills in the following trades:
- Plumbing
- Carpentry (including fencing and lock changes)
- Tiling
- Decorating
- Patch Plastering
- Unvented Cylinders
- Glazing
- UPVC window (including overhauls)
- Qualifications:
- Holder of a Full UK Drivers Licence
- Holds relevant qualifications (i.e. NVQ or equivalent, Asbestos Awareness)
- Experience:
- Social Housing Repairs experience
- Experience in using PDA’s or iPads
- Knowledge of ‘Schedule of Rates’ (SOR’s)
- Personal Qualities:
- Ability to self-manage and work independently
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
- Willing and able to work as part of a team
- Ability to plan, prioritise, and effectively manage time
- General willingness to be helpful, enthusiastic, and flexible
