Mobile School Crossing Patrol

On behalf of our client we are recruiting for a Mobile School Crossing Patrol. This is toensure the safety of children crossing the road at a designated point between specified times. This is a term time only role, working 7.5 hours per week on call, 45 mins morning and same in afternoon. You will need to have use of a vehicle. You will need a enhanced DBS for children on the Update Service.

Role Responsibilities

• Patrols need to be sensitive to traffic conditions – allowing appropriate stopping time, and not stopping traffic more often than necessary.
• Maintain control over children who are awaiting your instructions to cross.
• Keeping ‘Stop Sign’ inverted when not wishing to cross but showing sign clearly to approaching traffic before stepping into the road.
• Taking up the correct position in the road.
• To use all equipment provided for the safety of yourself, children and all members of the public; especially when stopping traffic in the road.
• Ensure that any incidents occurring on site are reported to the School Crossing Patrol manager/Supervisor as soon as possible.
