Lynx Employment Services are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Licensing Support Officer to join their Regulatory/Licensing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator with strong customer service skills and an interest in licensing or regulatory services.Role Purpose
To assist and support the delivery of effective licensing services to customers, visitors and businesses. The postholder will provide advice and guidance, serve customers, support visits recording, process applications, and collate information to ensure licensing functions operate efficiently and in line with statutory requirements.Key Responsibilities – Licensing Support & Service Delivery
- Maintain up to date knowledge of all Licensing functions, including relevant legislation, codes of practice, and best practice guidance.
- Assist with a broad range of licensing administration tasks and provide support to colleagues, partners, and stakeholders.
- Ensure licensing applications are processed accurately and efficiently, in line with legislation, guidance, and statutory/internal timescales.
- Provide high-quality, timely, and customer-focused advice and service to all customers, businesses, and visitors.
Compliance, Monitoring & Investigations
- Assist in visits and investigations relating to statutory duties of the team.
- Support investigations of service requests and respond to enquiries from members of the public, employees, and other stakeholders, escalating complex matters where appropriate.
- Monitor licensing activities and collate, analyse, and record data to contribute to reports and/or action plans.
Records, Evidence & Systems
- Maintain registers and records required under licensing legislation and internal procedures.
- Support enforcement activity by assisting with preparation of evidence for legal proceedings, and presenting evidence where required.
- Use administrative and IT systems to record and update information accurately and within required timescales.
Financial & General Duties
- Ensure financial rules and regulations are adhered to in respect of collecting, recording, and retaining payments.
- Undertake any other appropriate duties as required to support the licensing service.
Person Specification
- 4 GCSEs grades A–C / 4–9 (including Maths and English) or equivalent,
OR the ability to demonstrate an equivalent level of numeracy and literacy skills.
