About the Role
An established accountancy practice in Sheffield is looking for an experienced Accountant to join their friendly team on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, client contact, and working across multiple sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review accounts, VAT returns, and tax returns.
- Manage bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting for clients.
- Handle payroll and ensure compliance with HMRC requirements.
- Provide business and tax advice to clients as needed.
- Support start-ups and SMEs with compliance and planning.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in an accountancy practice.
- AAT/ACCA qualified or part-qualified (or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards, VAT, and tax compliance.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple clients.
- Strong communication and client-service skills.
